A Christmas Message to my Friends, Colleagues and Family

The bible tells us that every good and perfect gift is from above (James 1:17). Christmas is a time to give gifts to those we love and appreciate. Our country, our freedom, our families, and our homes are all gifts. Our jobs and our health are also gifts from a kind and merciful God. Each of you is a gift, and I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for connecting with me. I thank God for each of you and wish the best for you and your family surrounding CHRISTMAS in 2020!

While 2020 was a troubling and unprecedented year, this is always a good time of year to consider again that we were created by God to know Him and enjoy Him forever but, because of our sin, we have become separated from Him. Our souls are never content until we are reconciled with Him.

As we celebrate Christmas we remember God made a way for that to happen. He gave the ultimate gift – His Son, Jesus Christ, who came to earth as a man in order to be our substitute. He suffered the penalty for our sins, which is death. Through God’s gift of love in Jesus, we have the promise of eternal life if we put our trust in Him. Going to church won’t save us; living a good life won’t either. Only the “Lamb of God” can take away our sin and give us peace with God. Some say this is foolishness, but the bible says the good news about Jesus is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).

My prayer is that each of you would consider the state of your soul and ask God to open your spiritual eyes to see Jesus as your glorious Savior. This season’s good news of great joy is that “unto you is born…a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”. The message of Christmas is one that offers hope, purpose and peace with God, and joy beyond what this world can offer.

Many say, “Happy Holidays” and “Seasons Greetings”. These are wonderful expressions – similar to the greeting we read about in the book of Luke in the bible. A great crowd of heavenly angels were joyfully announcing the birth of Jesus the Savior. They cried, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests”. With this good news, I like to add…

“MERRY CHRISTMAS, THE SAVIOR HAS COME”
